Our Low Impact Collection is part of our commitment to reduce the carbon footprint of mountain adventures and encourage more sustainable travel.
At Tracks and Trails we continually evaluate how our practices and holidays affect the world around us. Working with Zellar, our sustainability partner, we have created a range of holidays where we are actively trying to reduce our impact. This is in line with our sustainability policy
Low Impact trips promise adventure travel with minimal impact on the environment. They are based in locations which can be accessed by train or other overland public transport links. Embrace the concept of making the journey part of your holiday and benefit from a slower pace. Make our short breaks into a week long holiday?
If you travel by train to your holiday destination we are offering a money off voucher. Contact us with evidence of your travel tickets for the full route and you will receive this discount. Read our blog on How To Be A More Sustainable Traveller.
Our Low Impact holidays regularly feature mountain routes less travelled. Some trips include a ‘carry all kit’ approach reducing luggage transfers and other vehicle movements. Take a look at our 'Fastpacking' blog which is full of helpful suggestions on how to reduce the weight of your backpack.
Embrace hut-to-hut adventures which offer overnights in remote and beautiful areas. Not sure what to expect? Take a look at how to prepare for your stay in a hut. Or book a centre based trip whereby you are in the same hotel for the whole trip, meaning less linen to be washed, less cleaning, and no need for vehicles to move luggage.
New holidays will be added to this collection every season.
