Marathon du Mont Blanc weekend

The Marathon du Mont Blanc weekend has just wrapped up, and as we shake off the feeling of the past few days, we can't help but marvel at the experience. It was a privilege to be there, immersed in the vibrant energy of the community, watching people come together to do what they love most—running and cheering along the scenic trails.

WHAT IS THE MARATHON DU MONT BLANC WEEKEND ABOUT?

Picture this: three major races spanning three days. It all kicks off with the grueling 90km on Friday, followed by the 23km on Saturday, and culminating with the classic 42km on Sunday. Runners from every corner of the globe converge here, having secured their spots through a lottery back in November. But the excitement doesn't end there. The weekend is peppered with other races too—a 21km duo night race, a 10km dash, and various events for the young ones.

WHY DOES THIS WEEKEND MEAN SO MUCH TO US?

It's more than just a series of races; it's a celebration of our community in one of the most breathtaking places on Earth. We see friends pushing their limits, strangers exploring the valley for the first time, and, most heartwarming of all, familiar faces of returning customers who have been part of our UTR holidays or trail running camps. What binds us all together is a shared awe for the majestic Mont Blanc massif and love for the trails.

If you're not running, you're crewing; if you're not crewing, you're cheering. It’s as simple as that, and nearly impossible to resist. As you stroll through the streets of Chamonix during the weekend, the town comes alive with artists of all kinds. Music fills the air, and dancers captivate passersby—every corner brims with excitement and energy. This weekend is all about the vibes, and even if you’re not a runner, you can’t help but get swept up in the atmosphere.

As passionate fans, we soaked up every moment. We made it a point to visit all the finish lines, where we witnessed athletes giving their all. We saw parents running hand-in-hand with their children in the final stretch, and countless supporters ringing bells, urging their loved ones on with extra bursts of energy. It left us inspired, making us wonder—why not sign up for next year's race?
