Derbyshire-based mountain adventure brand Tracks and Trails has today (22 March 2024) launched its new Low Impact holiday collection.
The company, which specialises in mountain adventure holidays across Europe and Scandinavia, unveiled the collection in the countdown to its participation at the Outdoor Expo 2024 this weekend.
Tracks and Trails Low Impact collection of walking, trail running, cross-country skiing and snowshoeing trips is part of its active commitment to reduce the environmental impact of overseas travel.
Its new Low Impact holiday collection promises to offer rewarding adventure travel with minimal impact on the environment. Low Impact trips offer itineraries that can be accessed by train or other public transport links, reducing the need to fly.
Guests are encouraged to embrace the concept of making their journey part of their holiday and benefiting from a slower pace.
Several Low Impact holidays from Tracks and Trails feature mountain routes that are less frequently travelled. They may also include the need to ‘carry all kit’ so that luggage transfers and other vehicle movements are kept to a minimum.
Established in 2006 by International Mountain Leaders Julia Tregaskis-Allen and Lindsay Cannon-Pearce, Tracks and Trails has a reputation for guiding, researching and organising holidays off the beaten track in the Alps and Scandinavia; walking, snowshoeing, cross country skiing and trail running.
“We have built Tracks and Trails to share our passion for the mountains and the human-powered journeys we can take through them,” explained Julia Tregaskis-Allen.
“Protecting our natural environment is intrinsic to what we do. It is ingrained in our DNA and we are 100% committed to finding ways that we and our guests can reduce the environmental impact of our holidays.
“That’s why we’ve created our new Low Impact collection.”
Tracks and Trails’ dedication to reducing its environmental impacts extends to all of its holidays. As a company, it is committed to:
Julia concluded: “We are excited to have created our new collection and to working with our guests to reduce the environmental impact of trips.”
